Only Healthy Ingredients for your Pet

Here is some information about the ingredients we use at Holly's Tasty Treats.  We use only fresh and natural ingredients in our treats... and that's where healthy eating begins! Let's take a closer look at our ingredients.

Whole Wheat Stone Ground Flour: This flour is a nutritious, coarse, brown flour with a sweet, nutty flavor made from the entire wheat kernel. The wheat kernel is made up of three main components; the endosperm, bran, and germ. The bran contains most of the fiber and minerals, including vitamin B and E. The endosperm accounts for most of the flour's weight and contains most of the kernel's protein and carbohydrates. And finally, germ contains a decent amount of healthy polyunsaturated fat.

Soy Flour: Soy flour is high in protein and made of finely ground dried soybeans. This non-rising flour does not have gluten. Some dogs may be allergic to corn flour so at Holly's Tasty Treats we use soy.

Nonfat Dry Milk:
Nonfat dry milk is a wholesome dairy product made from fresh milk. Only the cream and water are removed.   The calcium and other minerals, vitamins, and high quality protein remain.

Soy Oil: Soybean oil is a very healthy food ingredient and does not contain much saturated fat. Like all other oils from vegetable origin, soybean oil contains no cholesterol. Soybean oil contains natural antioxidants which remain in the oil even after extraction. The oil we use is 0g Tran's fat.

Farm Eggs: We use fresh brown eggs for all our recipes. Eggs are stored in the refrigerator for freshness and only the best are used for our treats.

Natural Honey: Bees gather nectar which produces honey with a distinctive flavor that leads pets to prefer it over sugar and other sweeteners. Honey also contains trace amounts of several vitamins and minerals.

Broth: The chicken, beef and vegetable broth is a classic balance of meat, vegetables and seasonings to bring rich and distinctive flavor to your treats, without the added fat. We use only high quality broth in all our recipes.

Additional spices & herbs for the Flavor of the Month Program treats: Basil, Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger, Nutmeg, Parsley, Pumpkin, Vegetable Flakes, Peppermint, Tomato, Dill.

As you can see we use the above ingredients for flavor and health. Without preservatives and fillers treats need to be stored differently. Typically the shelf life is about 6 weeks...but if you wish to keep them longer put half in the freezer and store the other half in your pet’s favorite treat container.
